As CEO of etventure Startup Hub, Laura is the main connection between the EuropeanPioneers Accelerator and the European Commission. She’s leading the consortium partners and manages new Public Private Partnerships.
From 2012 to 2014, Laura was in charge of an Innovation Lab for new digital business-to-consumer transactions (Bevation) at Bertelsmann DirectGroup. She launched Lean Startup principles and supported the entrepreneurs, especially in the early stages of their businesses with brainstorming, business modeling and establishing Minimum Viable Products.
Laura began her career in 2002 at the Bertelsmann headquarters. In the Corporate Communications department she gathered her extensive experience in the areas of internal communications, online communications and corporate strategy, before being appointed spokesperson of Bertelsmann Book Club in Berlin in 2006.
During her MBA studies in Berlin and Cambridge, she gained expertise in corporate governance. In 2010 she became head of e-commerce business at Bertelsmann Book Club, and advanced the digital strategy of the multi-channel company.

For the management of the Company Building activities and the further development of the startup portfolio we could win a proven startup expert as our new Head of Company Building: Sebastian Esser. He brings years of experience along as a founder of own startups like Home eat Home, as CEO of Event GmbH, and also in the fields of company building due to his professional background at Team Europe and the Coca Cola Founders Network.
Additionally, he was Director Strategic Cooperations at Vertical Media, the publishing house behind startup-media as Gründerszene or Heureka.

Maren supports several startups and women in tech in establishing strong marketing campaigns to create a successful brand and support sales. She is also “walking the talk”. As an advisor and business development expert for Israeli startup VoiceItt, Maren is in close contact with investors, she pitches on stage to win competitions and supports the team of 12 that is spread over three continents, in scaling up in Europe their voice and voice-pattern recognition software for people with speech impairment suffering from diseases such as ALS, Alzheimer, strokes or paralyzation.
In February 2016, Maren also joined the team of etventure Startup Hub. There she is the Communications Manager for several EU-funded programs such as Accelerator European Pioneers, Welcome and the IoT European Platform Initiative.
In her rare spare time, Maren loves to run, to cook, to read and to write. She also runs her own blog www.startupchallenges.eu. Maren is a Twitter and Instagram addict.

As Manager of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Berkay is working closely with startups from all over Europe in a variety of ways: As part of etventure’s internal company builder, the EuropeanPioneers Accelerator as well as the WELCOME project under the umbrella of the European Commission’s initiative Startup Europe. Additionally, he also works on corporate consulting projects with a focus on startups and the digital innovation space.
Berkay gained work-experience by leading the online marketing at a Rocket Internet venture, key-account management at France’s biggest affiliate network and as an IT project manager for global and EMEA-wide projects at a Fortune500 Company. Furthermore, being an avid traveller (including travelling the world for a year), he has visited every continent and understands how to handle cultural differences.
Through trilingual studies in London, Paris and Berlin, he received a triple master degree from ESCP Europe. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from SRH Hochschule Berlin, where he also served as student’s representative and member of the Examination Board.

Tushar works as a Project Manager for IoT & Corporate Innovation. His main topics, include IoT projects and helping large enterprises and SME’s in digitizing their business models. Tushar has a technology and business background and has 7+ years experience spread across Technology, Consulting, and Startup companies. Previously, he worked with IBM, Capgemini Group, and Onefootball (leading Berlin startup) in various capacities.
Tushar holds an MBA from Hult International Business School (USA) and a B.S. in Information Technology from the International University in Germany. Having lived and worked in multiple countries, he is a citizen of the world. His hobbies include anything that broadens the mind – be it traveling, trying out new experiences, reading or hiking.

Oliver Bey creates valuable connections as Startup and Ecosystem Manager. He has 6+ years of professional experience in business development and international project management. As an expert for business modeling, he works actively with startups from all across Europe. By engaging with both corporates and startups, he gained deep knowledge in advancing collaboration between both stakeholders and can help startups with improvement of access to market efforts.
In his previous job, Oliver worked as International Outreach Lead at EIT Digital Accelerator. He was responsible for business development and startup scouting in Central Eastern Europe with focus on Poland, Baltic States, and Greece. Before joining EIT Digital, Oliver worked as Project Manager in the field of automotive and smart cities with responsibility for business development and corporate-startup collaboration. He studied European Studies with focus on Central Eastern Europe.

Nadim Choucair is driving startup ecosystem development with his diverse knowledge in accelerator programs, startup support structures and building local innovation ecosystems.
Nadim is an alum of IE Business School where he was a Venture Network Fellow responsible for startup relations, and of the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, where he evaluated Lebanon’s Startup Ecosystem and Entrepreneurship Policy as a Global Research Fellow. Prior to his studies, Nadim worked as an Innovation Enabler in Canada, helping both SMEs and larger corporations such as ACCIONA, Unilever and Mecachrome, to invest in R&D Projects through public grants and tax credit incentives.
As a Partnership and Ecosystem Building Manager he brings international expertise and a broad network following stints in Beirut, Montreal, Madrid and Boston.
He was selected as an SDG Talent, to be part of the UNLEASH Innovation Lab, working on innovative solutions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

Lydia gained strong expertise in Digital Media, Content Management and Event Communication within Universal Music. At her Traineeship with Deutsche Grammophon, she worked on digitalization by implementing new content strategies to support branding and marketing activities. She is very familiar with PR related topics towards Startups, as she worked in Public Relations at Mashup Communications. At etventure Startup Hub she supports the Project IoT European Platforms Initiative and is running communication activities. Lydia studied European Media Science in Potsdam.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is a political foundation. In Germany, 16 regional offices and two conference centers offer a wide variety of civic education conferences and events.
